[center][fancypost=border-width:0px; width: 450px; text-align: justify; font-size: 8pt; line-height: 125%]The night had long settled. It was dark out, the crowded jungle still alive with sounds. Crickets chirped in the underbrush, frogs sat on floating lilypads. Thin streams of moon-light dotted the ground, mixing with the yellow glow of fireflies. It was fairly warm out but colder compared to the morning temperatures. A breeze rushed through, rustling the leaves of trees, and in the shadows, something stirred.

Their mind reeled, their eyes blinking groggily. They glanced around, but their surroundings were barely registering in their brain, mostly focused on the nauseated feeling in the pit of their stomach and the cloudiness that prevented them from thinking straight. Taking in a deep breath, they realized the foul stench hanging in the air, similar to that of death, the metallic smell of blood. It only encouraged their sick feeling.

They felt weak, only able to lift their head slightly. Their eyes hurt, stinging and not at all helping the throbbing headache, but they nevertheless strained to see through the dark. This place wasn't at all familiar to them, or at least from what they could manage to remember. They could only recall small details, flashes of memories that were gone in an instant.

Giving one last, concentrated look around, they noticed it. All the blood. It pooled on the ground, and smeared across trees and other plants, thick crimson that glistened in the small bit of light. It coated their black fur-a coat they weren't accustomed to. They couldn't remember much, but one thing they suddenly realized was that their own body didn't look familiar to them. Half of their muzzle was mangled, showing off gums and yellow teeth.

    [center][fancypost=border-width:0px; width: 450px; text-align: justify; font-size: 8pt; line-height: 125%]thank you! i think i'll check out knights of eden

yass, they need to see each other (even tho it probably won't be on good circumstances,,,heh)

[center][fancypost=border-width:0px; width: 450px; text-align: justify; font-size: 8pt; line-height: 125%]For reasons they couldn't understand, the mere sight and smell of the blood made panic rise up inside their stomach. They forgot about the numbness of their limbs, fumbling over themselves to scramble away from the substance, their breath coming out in heavy huffs. They were confused and startled, the sudden movements making them aware of the pain washing over their body. Their face, most of all, felt like it had been split open, their mouth and gums aching horribly until they could hardly endure it.

They paused for a moment, lifting their nose. Beyond the stench, they could smell something else. They vaguely recognized it as someone's scent. Although they were apprehensive, they parted their lips to speak out, but what came out at first was a small whimper, barely above a whisper. Before they could try again, a voice rang out, breaking the abrupt silence.

They tried again, and managed a weak, "Hello..," in a pitiful voice. Their eyes searched the darkness, barely making out the figure of a feline in the distance.

[center][fancypost=border-width:0px; width: 450px; text-align: justify; font-size: 8pt; line-height: 125%]The approaching steps gave them both a feeling of relief and anxiety. They weren't sure if they had just saved themselves, or if they had ensured their own death, since they had no way of knowing if they were friendly or not. As the sounds got closer, however, they realized that it was a bit too late to run now. Besides, it would be hard to with their vulnerable state.

Staying where they were, sat back in their haunches, they looked up as the stranger stood just in front of them. They breathed in deep, holding the air in their chest, which vibrated with the sound of their rapid heartbeat. When he asked what had happened, or if they knew who they were, they paused. Their brows furrowed in slight concentration, rummaging around inside their mind to find any clues as to who they were, or even just fragments of what had happened.

Yet, with a flash, their name suddenly came to them-it wasn't much, but it would do. "I'm...ah, I'm Necros," They almost felt a bit odd while speaking. Their voice was quiet, and it was difficult to raise it any higher. Taking in another breath, Necros glanced down at the red splatter across the ground at their paws. "I...can't really remember what happened. S...sorry. Um, if you wouldn't mind...may I stay around for a bit? Until I recover?" like he had stated, they were on some territory of some sort. Maybe, if possible, they could stick around and try to figure it all out.

[ no worries. it's just blood. one of their bodies were just killed, so that's why. ]

[center][fancypost=border-width:0px; width: 450px; text-align: justify; font-size: 8pt; line-height: 125%]Necros turned their head to stare at the new arrival, their eyes darting between the two uneasily. Although they didn't seem that hostile, they were still cautious. As one of them agreed to their request, they turned to the other, awaiting his own response.

They smiled softly once they were accepted by both of them, but otherwise hid their relief that they wouldn't have to stay out by themselves alone. They didn't know what dangers were lurking around, and if the source of this blood was still around, nor were they weren't intent on finding out. Carefully standing, they shook themselves off, slowly beginning to feel better, thankfully.

There was a small part of them that felt bad for causing them to worry. They didn't want to become a burden, so they were planning a swift recovery, though it likely wouldn't end up that way.

[center][fancypost=border-width:0px; width: 450px; text-align: justify; font-size: 8pt; line-height: 125%]Necros was accustomed to the feeling of disappointment in themselves. They had never had much faith, and while they relied on others and were confident they were capable, they were hesitant to say the same about themselves. They couldn't hold promises. They tried, they really did, but they were weak. Or maybe they just cared a bit too much. Whatever the reason, they had many reasons to be angry, infuriated-but they weren't.

Most times, they drowned themselves up to their noses in self-loathing, so being on their last nerve was the last thing on their mind. They were always angry at none but themselves. Yet they had no idea what was going on around Eden, arriving just shortly after the whole Bloodclan mishap. Thus, they didn't have much room for being concerned. It wasn't their place, as they'd say, though it probably was now, given their new position among the ranks.

They frowned, approaching the two. One they recognized, while the other they hadn't seen before. But they weren't worried about that, more-so the almost troubled air radiating from the feline. They didn't say anything, as the question had already been asked, instead taking a seat.

[center][fancypost=background-color:;border:0px;width:450px;text-align:justify;font-size:8pt;line-height:1.4;]Necros had never heard of an emergency trial, much-less a regular trial. It was expected, though, considering their very short time in Eden. But it still would have been nice to get a better understanding of what was going on. Since there didn't seem to be much time for an explanation, they just decided to watch and try to figure out what this was about.

They took a seat off to the side, hoping that it wasn't some sort of private thing. They watched the group quietly and turned when the sound of steps approached. They had never seen the female before, but decided that, with the authority in the air around her, she was the leader. But the sight of blood was mostly what caught their attention. They didn't like the looks of things so far, frowning at the curdling feeling in their stomach. It was a knot of dread, brought on by the crimson, yet they still couldn't figure out why.

Doing their best to ignore it, they blinked at the scornful tone of the sovereign. The air held tension, and it was tempting to scurry away before things got ugly. They didn't want to be in the midst of it and were unusually nervous about the situation.[fancypost=border-width:0; font-size: 8pt; text-align: center; line-height: 95%; width:400px;] ✧ —I'M SINGIN' SONGS ABOUT THE FUTURE /[color=white] TAGS / [color=grey]WONDERIN' WHERE YOU ARE

[center][fancypost=background-color:;border:0px;width:450px;text-align:justify;font-size:8pt;line-height:1.4;]Necros was a bit late, but they were there nevertheless. They stepped forward, greeting the savannah with a nod, their face stoic. "Welcome to Eden. I'm Necros, let me know if you need any help," over the last few days, they noticed that their voice had gotten smaller and smaller, until it was barely a whisper. They wouldn't have been surprised if he couldn't hear them.

They themselves had long since gotten used to greeting newcomers. They were still always a bit nervous, but they also couldn't deny that they were always bit anxious while speaking with others. Yet now they were lagging behind, as it had been a logn while since they had had anyone to greet or welcome. Thinking about this simple fact made them a bit sad, for reasons they couldn't describe.[fancypost=border-width:0; font-size: 8pt; text-align: center; line-height: 95%; width:400px;] ✧ —I'M SINGIN' SONGS ABOUT THE FUTURE /[color=white] TAGS / [color=grey]WONDERIN' WHERE YOU ARE

[center][fancypost=background-color:;border:0px;width:450px;text-align:justify;font-size:8pt;line-height:1.4;]Of course, they'd never experienced death-at least not that they could remember. The closest thing they had gotten to it was their arrival to Eden, and even so, it didn't seem like it had involved them. But who was to say it didn't? It was a bit suspicious to wake up lacking in memories and with a large wound on your face. As long as none thought ill of them, they considered themselves fine. It would have hurt a lot more to know people hated them for murder than knowing they did it at all, or they thought so at least.

The voice reaching their ears, Necros went to see what was going on, coming across Eldrich and someone else they didn't know. There was a certain tense feeling to them, as if running from something unspeakable, or it was the skeptical side of them showing. They weren't a very trusting type in the first place.

Since the their clan-mate had already asked the questions, they remained silent, narrowing their eyes. They waited to give their name, as it was futile to give out their name to a stranger-dangerous, maybe.[fancypost=border-width:0; font-size: 8pt; text-align: center; line-height: 95%; width:400px;] ✧ —I'M SINGIN' SONGS ABOUT THE FUTURE /[color=white] TAGS / [color=grey]WONDERIN' WHERE YOU ARE
